We finished this gorgeous new design for a customer a few weeks ago. This is slightly different from our usual vibe, more modern than rustic. Our customer asked for a statement piece to be the star of his newly renovated kitchen diner. We went with extra chunky new wood rather than our usual reclaimed and chunky but low-profile steel. The table was a huge 2.5m long and 1m wide. There was a couple of amendments that need making to ensure this huge design was sturdy. We added extra steel to frame the wood and secure the table. With the table being extra-large we thought it was only right to make the bench extra-large to match, almost twice as wide as our standard benches in fact! We think this looks just the part.
